Warped Serie Gran Reserva 1988
The much anticipated (for over a year) GR88 has finally arrived! I usually go bonkers over delays in releases, but the delay for the GR88 was reportedly because Kyle Gellis, owner of Warped, wanted to make sure the cigar was absolutely ready to be smoked when they arrived. The Gr88 is medium in strength and body – but full of flavors! The transitions on this cigar are absolutely amazing, subtle. So subtle that I may need to smoke a half dozen more to get pick up on all of them – I’m no reviewer, but after 30 years I like to think I can pick up flavors. Anyway, speaking of flavors – here is what I am picking up: pepper spice that is not overwhelming, leather, coffee, hints of creamy cocoa and some subtle faint citrus. Man, what a cigar! I’m thinking my inventory will be like a yoyo – way up and way down. So, better snag some when they are in!
